Learn how to transition between upright and inverted hurricanes, perform the mobius, complete verticle loop figure 8's and horizontal figure 8's. The key to good 3D heli transitions is working on performing these smoothly and lots of practice. For more information check out chadrg.com

  • Hi, your videos are really helpful. Today I is the first time I'm able to do the piroflip, after 3 month of practice. It is important to understand the move and it will come automatically.Morphing is the starting for piroflip. Will you put some more video?you don' t imagine who helpful they are. I tried to learn on the same sim and I found easier to decrease the sim speed to learn and get back to 100% after understand the movement. Can you tell me what speed did you use on the video?

    Thanks

  • @michlter

I used 100% speed on the sim to learn this move but I spent months teaching myself to slow down the rudder. Good work getting the move in 3 months. It took me much longer.

  • Zfloop,

Thank you for uploading these videos. The are awesome, and I am learning a lot from them. What is your favorite helicopter, and how long did it take you to get such a great skills?

    Thanks,

  • @fhc1121

I have been flying for about three years now. So it has taken me this long and I have a long ways to go. But I have been enjoying learning. Couldn't say that I have a favorite heli because I have only owned Align stuff. But I would have to say my T-rex 700N is a great machine.

  • Hello zfloop thanks for the lesson!

Question, I just started on the sim ( 30 hrs) and I'm just able to over tail in but not in one spot the heli gets away from me frequently, what kind of settings if any should I have on the edit tab of the Phoenix sim? What should I expect from going from sim to live? I will be attempting my first hover on monday with blade400 never flown before, is a year 30 minute sim practice a reasonable time table to learn 3d? thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • @EllasPapa In phoenix or your radio you can add expo. Expo will soften the controls so the heli doesn't feel so twitchy. Don't worry about how long it takes to learn a certain step. Just enjoy the satisfaction of getting there. Learning to hover is a key skill you must master to progress in 3D. Hang in there you will get it. And when you do try your blade 400 just go slow. Get it light on the skids and take your time. Training gear is even a good idea.
