This story is based on the pressures of competition as suggested by Natalie Portman in Black Swan.
After the 2 Contestants meet in the hallway and see they are wearing the same dress and look, the current MVW goes back to her dressing room and is overcome by pressures of being the current MVW and subsequently halucinates while self doubting herself, before regaining her composure as MVW champion should.
