fglrx drivers suck. but they are still the best option unfortunately. Mine performs smoothly But i get lots of screen tearing. if i enable tearfree mode it works but it slows the graphics way down to the point ware its not fun anymore. i think all these problems are a result of xorg conflicts with fglrx settings. hopefully wayland can sort some of this stuff out. i hear nvidia cards work well. but i haven't been able to get Linux to detect my nvidia card. my ATI works but with flaws/
they need to figure out how microsoft and apple managed to get there compositing engines to work smoothly with resizing. Ironically on the KWIN project resizing is actually smoother than the native windows gui and macosx gui while using aero and wddm 1.1 drivers.

Just a side note: Please try to hold the camera still, this can(and did in my case) give people sea sickness.
