MGS3 Wall Glitch

Id been meaning to do this video for some time now, as I have known of this glitch for a while.

The best application of this glitch is to meet the fury early and skip the conversation you have with Eva at the top of the mountain, this could save around 2-3 minutes. There are probably plenty of other places that could be found however the game design is pretty poor and there are many many soft spots. These are some of the best I have found.

Instructions:

The glitch is easy to do once you understand it, what is basically happening in Snake is climbing a box sideways and in doing so his animation puts him through the other side or in between any given wall. To force snake to climb a box sideways you simply run toward the box you are wishing to climb at an angle towards the wall and press Triangle, Up and R1 together. At first it is very difficult to do however keep practicing and persisting and it will become very easy, it not an easy glitch to do and can even take me several attempts at it.

It is easier to practice on a box while snake is running upward, or up the screen.

There must be a wall or something for snake to climb into otherwise it wont work.

That's an amazing glitch! I think a new mgs3 speed run is due now that you've revealed this.

This has been known for some time however, the fury trick causes a serious injury so stats arent perfect.

The game design isn't poor. It's still better designed than games today like a certain overrated SB game released in 2008.

you can do this glitch inside groznyj grad, on some boxes, and explore the outter part of the map

yeah ok, i need help on this, i just now found this video. ahhhhhhhhhhm, does it word on the american version? for some reason if you run at an angle he wont climb, so you have to climb more towards the box, and if you do that then he will never go through the wall! what do i do ???:(

i need help i got american version metal gear solid 3 subsitence i try this fer many years aND STILL CNT DO IT THIS ONLY GLITCH. U SAID TO PUSH UP does tht mean up on left analog or on d pad or from snake eater camera view push down on analog. cause i do it but get shot right back out like wall is patched or wahtever

First of all, I saw Hikari's speedrun. At the end, he had 2 serious injuries, and yet he still got a Foxhound rank, so I think this can be used in a legitimate speedrun. Second, the would not only save 2 or 3 minutes for EVA, but it would also shorten The Sorrow fight.

All and all, even if it doesn't get you perfect stats, it's still probably worth using.
