Vehicles fall through Prior Lake

This is a video of several vehicles that parked on Prior Lake located in Prior Lake Minnesota on December 26, 2006. The ice was less than 7 inches thick. You almost feel bad for these people but when they are to lazy to park on the street that is located less than 200 yards from where these vehicles went in it is hard to feel sorry for people that just don't think. To make matters worse, they all parked on top of each other. Way to go boys. Way to go.

As long as they have comp insurance coverage the vehicle is covered by their insurance company as well as the tow to pull their vehicle out. The fines would not be covered but no one was fined in this situation.

Seems like a lot of ppl fall through on Prior Lake. I know where that is, I'm from Wisconsin. What a bunch of Morons. I take it you get called out to a lot of these since your a firefighter/ first responder?

@scootereaston. Actually, I fish the lake a lot and I just happen to be out there when they went through. The problem this particular year is people were jus parking on unsafe ice. They had no business being out there. It's all about monkey see, monkey do and none of these monkeys should have been on the ice in the condition it was in.

When I was growing up in Pa., we used to get a couple of guys together and go in on a "beater car" for about $500.

In a situation like this we would just walk away...... I would never take my favorite pickup truck or work truck on the ice, but a Geo Metro for sure!

The best is yet to come. Wait until they find that their vehicle is not insured if they take it on the ice! Still have to make the payment though! And oh yeah, don't forget the retrieval and environmental clean up fees too!

Like the uploader said, its unfortunate for them but its hard for me to feel bad. its common sense not to park near each other and then they did it on thin slushy shit... come on really people? Use your heads. Theres oil gas antifreeze/coolant in those vehicles that can pollute the water...
