pt.1: of an artist response + homage to cult film legend - Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1968 mexican film :Fando Y Lis. RARE early film,part of his challenging, visually stunning, disturbing yet spiritually searching canon of works. part 1 of a 2 part video hommage i have produced has employed deliberate low-tech methods for immediacy harking back to pre-digital methods +Eisensteins chop/edit techniques. also as a remix/re-edit of Jodorowskys early controversial yet undeniably intoxicating film visuals confronting many of societies ongoing taboo subjects.other Jodorowsky works that include :The Holy Mountain, Santa Sengre, El Topo etc . spot the influence on later artists such as Marina Abramovic, the Slits + a host of others.
