This is just a part of an instructional video I made to show someone how to assemble the Slider Kit to an OS 21 button autoharp. This gives you a clear idea of how it functions. 21 buttons, 63 chords, in every key. I designed it and patented it to fit a standard Oscar Schmidt 21 chord autoharp, although the patent covers all styles of autoharps. Since I cannot find anyone to build these, I will have to build them myself, so not many will be made. If you are interested, contact me at: bryant@cyberport.net. I will be going to the Willamette Valley Autoharp Gathering on July 29th, and will do a one hour workshop to get you close up to this new conversion. Try it yourself!

  • you can help me, I am interested in learning this instrument here in Brazil, has taught me you. has also reflect some handout?

    if you send me maria.lindalva2009 @ hotmail.com

  • @lindalva778 Linda, it could be very expensive to have you ship your autoharp from Brazil. I might be able to make one up, and sell it on eBay - can you bid on eBay?

  • How do I get A slider kit,or how do I get a harp with this feature, fantastic device!

  • @jwwalker1 If you send me a photo of the autoharp you want to be upgraded, I will send you my address if it will fit my conversion. Most 21 chord Oscar Schmidts will fit. After I approve that it will fit, ship me the harp, wilth $250, and I will install the conversion and ship it back to you. You will have one less string (lowest bass), but have every key, plus all majors, minors, sevenths and diminished sevenths. The price does not include new felt or new strings.

  • you're right, it will be expensive for me.

but anyway thank you for your attention.

  • Bill? That's a really innovative idea! "More power to your elbow!"

    Geoff. (From Nottingham, UK.) ~:o)

  • Hi, Bill: saving my $: really needed to play with my church band which plays in diverse keys from E (on the sharp side) all the way up to Eb (on the phlat side) and everywhere inbetween! Paul of Tallahassee

  • you are amazing! GREAT INVENTION! I would be honred to have a autoharp from you!

  • Amazing. Reminds me of the "capo" thing guitar players do. Not that I know anything about it. Congratulations on your invention.

  • This is a truly amazing autoharp inventon! Autoharp playing has come along way over the years. I enjoy double stringing harps for increased volume and beautiful sound. Of course this reduces chords and playing keys available.
