Might I suggest, you utilize a second laptop and remote the speaker, if there's a problem.

This needs to be mixed with aquaponics, permaculture and, waterboxx's. Look those up on youtube if you dont know what they are.they will change the world

U know if you have a pond... U can not only eat fish, but the waste from the fish is a great fertalizer.. It's actually a form of hydroponic production.......

I cant sleep at night because of earthships.
It does not have to cost 300k for an earthship the hut can be built for 2500 and then can be repeated to add more rooms. $0% of cost is labor, so get off your couch and build it yourself. The systems do cost quite a bit but there is tax breaks on those. I would get a loan tomorrow but the thing that holds me back the most is the building codes(i dont want to move to a pocket of freedom from here)

In terms of cleaning and water contamination. What king of cleaning chemicals can be used that will not contaminate the water and kill the plants? Washing clothes, plates, self and so on.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Earthship design. I have been an advocate of green building along with smaller simpler living since the 60's so I truely understand the ramifications of lying and stretching the truth. I will continue my fight the battle for truefull green marketing. I have written letters to the editors of every publication in an effort to drive truthfull marketing and also expose vanity buildings (homes) as not green. Keep building your fine homes!

@rubycreek My arguement still stands. It is not cabon zero. Sure the carbon footprint is lower however but saying it is ZERO is lying and that only hurts our green movement. I used the windows and only "one" example of a cabon addition to the building which by default renders it "not" carbon zero. A teepee is an example of a truely carbon zero building and that is only if no commercial materials were used. I truely hate when marketing trumps truth. Loose the term "carbon zero"

When it cost $300k for the earthship it is not green. Because the money the labors are making goes to support a carbon excess somewhere else. Also if you have any windows it is not carbon zero!

I always like to hear Michael talk, but whoever was in charge of the sound on these webinar videos did NOT have it together. Sheesh!

@Engineer245 If you have no windows, you have no food. I would think the savings in transport energy for the food, both farm to store and store to home, would put this back in the negative on carbon fairly quickly.
