This was a small informative film we put together for last Sunday's benefit:" Don't Forget the Children: A Benefit for Haiti"

The performers were: Peter Lang, Pat Donohue and Dan Newton, Peter Ostroushka, Phil Heywood , Nikki and the Ruemates, Pat Frederick and Voodoo Patsy, Maud Hixson, Daisy Dillman Band and Papa John Kolstad and his Hot Band of East Lake .

Our beneficiary was Friends of the Orphans which helps provide financial and volunteer support to more than 30,000 Haitians each year through its orphan home and outreach programs. Friends of the Orphan's Father Wasson Center in Haiti has suffered great damages due to the earthquake in Haiti. Along with loss of staff, volunteers and family members, its administrative offices and volunteer residence, have completely collapsed. Its St. Damien Medical Center sustained major damage The Center operates the only free pediatric hospital in Haiti. St.Damien's a 250 bed facility also sees 100 outpatients a day. Following the earthquake that number has grown to over 700 per day including adults as well. Friends of the Orphans needs help to rebuild their facilities to continue to provide their much needed services and to restore hope for the future of Haiti through their children. Their site is still accepting donations at http://www.friendsofth...eorphans.org/hopeforHaiti Thanks to everyone who attended and donated.
