You did a very good job with this. Well done. one of the best homegrown ones (if not the best i've seen on the internet) of 'My Friends'

Well, contradicting the views of some of the commenters on here, I thought the Mrs. Lovett was absolutely spectacular, and I'd like to see them do better! As for the Sweeney, I loved him! He was AMAZING! :D

This guy is PERFECT as Todd. Dare I say even better or at least equal to Mr. Johnny Depp himself. Bravo.

Is this you? If it is, you make a fantastic Sweeney! I can't believe that this was put on entirely by students. Very very impressive. Mrs. Lovett is also very good, I love her voice, and I like the character design for the show. Both Sweeney and Lovett fit their parts very well.

Sweeney = amazing.
Everything else = mediocre.
It would have been amazing with a different Lovett, orchestra, and better scene shifts. It's a shame because Sweeney's voice was stunningly powerful.

Alex Robertson succeeds where Johnny Depp fails miserably! This is wonderful

@imsweeneytodd She seems under-confident. She starts singing each of her lines waaaaaaaay too softly only to realize she's doing so and get louder as quickly as she can. I wonder if she was a little in awe of Mr. Robertson... which would ironically be appropriate for building the proper relationship between the two characters.

something about Lovett is weird. idk
but Sweeney is amazing! awesome voice

I am blown away.
I love this show, and have tried to see/hear as many people in these roles as possible. And this Sweeney is just... phenomenal. The voice, the acting, the poise, the look -- what a great escaped-Victorian-prisoner-loo
k, seriously! And he's SO in the role. I love it. His facial expressions reflect so many moods, and that fragile mental state where you know he might snap and go totally crazy, but you also feel *really* bad for him as a human being.
You may have to forgive me for this, but I have put on may productions in my lifetime. First, the acting is great, It is just difficult to pay attention to the acting with the major tone problems, and the pithiness that sounds like an attempted sforzandos throughout Sweeney's part in this duet. Pick a tonality and stick with it. Try starting at a softer volume. The girl's volume was more appropriate for the part. This is obviously high school level work.
