There is this big fuss that the children of Israel were given the covenant from the OT and now the Christians have a new covenant which doesn't involve the commandments of God

If you are Abraham's seed by faith, you too are adopted into the children of Israel.

I believe and love God, but the biggest Q - for me is didn't God know Adam was going to sin and why did he create Satan if he knew sin was going to be brought into the world..?

God is a creator and desired for Himself a creation from time before everlasting. But long before man Satan desired God's position and there was a war in heaven long before man was created in which Satan tried to usurp God's place.

Should God have not created us because Satan set about to destroy the creation? God forbid! God created a plan of Redemption even before we were born.

God's power is revealed through His redeemed.

We are part of the battle...it is ours to choose sides.

@stem7360 God didn't create Satan, he created Lucifer (from the latin words lucem ferre literally meaning "light-bearer"). Lucifer lifted himself in pride against God, and was removed from the presence of God. In the absence of God Lucifer becomes Satan. One could say then that Satan is self made so to speak.

Love cannot be anything without free will. God did not create a devil named Satan. He created a perfect angel named Lucifer (Light Bearer). Lucifer had the same free will that man has. The free will to choose to love God or reject Him. Because of God's love for man, He made a way of salvation to deal with sin. The Bible says that Christ was slain before the foundaiton of the earth. God, knowing that man would sin had a plan of salvation for man before the sin was ever committed. Thats LUV
