PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION:

NOTE: When I recorded the 'track view' video, I saw no issues with the ride so I recorded the POV video without reviewing it. There was a small stacking issue in the POV portion that isn't present for the 'track view' portion. I didn't notice it until I had already encoded the final video. It's a small flaw -- I apologize.

Liquid Steel is a B&M floorless coaster. It features 7 inversions: a vertical loop, a zero g roll, a cobra roll, a diving loop, and 2 corkscrews. My skills at making inversions are not the best -- I continue to hone the skill and not rely on reshaping prefabricated inversions. Since I make all of my tracks by hand, not using any of the tools available for NoLimits, my inversions aren't as smooth as they should be. I will continue to try and make these elements better.

The ride has its fair share of pumps and bumps, but I hand-build all of my tracks -- not using any of the tools available such as Elementary, Newton, or the AHG.

Please rate and comment (constructive comments only) and, of course, Enjoy!

  • And btw, I think it's time you start using tools, seeing how long you've been handbuilding :)

  • @A113Productions

I don't like using tools - to me it's like cheating. The Simulation comes with a smoothing tool. Other than adding .3ds objects, I think using 3rd party programs for the actual construction of a ride is the same as using a cheat code in a traditional video game. What skill is gained by using a tool that perfects things that you couldn't do in normal game play?

  • @A113Productions a113 sorry for bothering but do you know specifically were to get some tools ? !

  • @DjMubanga

A lot of the coaster exchanges have links to the various NL tools - Coasterforce, NoLimits Exchange, etc...

  • There's no music..

  • @A113Productions

I'm challenging the Copy Right dispute under the 'Fair Use' language in the 1976 Copy Right Act. The music should be back in a few hours...

  • AMAZING!!

  • @drbcoaster i kind of agree with a113 because your coaster is great by the way your hand building it but if you use tools it will come out a lot better .... i am working on a project coaster called Exoudus and i need tools and so i guess a113 is the guy seeing that his coasters are amazing !

  • @drbcoaster somebody just got fuckin ownd

  • Nice ride man, But, some elements are to sudden and a bit shaky, Your hitting your inversions a bit to early ( Like the banking is to early, e.g 3:33 that should be banked more to the left ) I think it was a nice ride overall, Great choice of colours the layout and scenery was great, I arent good at explaining rides! Lol, but i hope you get what i mean..

  • @drbcoaster

Thats what i think to, Its also more fun and you gain more skill. In my opinion :)

  • Nice coaster, and I like the 3D station.

  • and strong negatives (specifically past -0.5) because that really isn't realistic for a B&M to pull. And the laterals shouldn't really go that high either, unless they're rotational laterals (I'm assuming they got high in your zero-g roll and your corkscrews). And if you aren't going to use tools, you won't even at least bother with AHG? xD

  • K now I get to talk about the ride now! I think I'm starting to notice you use the same prelift for almost all of your coasters, lol. The shaping is ok in some parts, the zero g roll and dive loop especially. I felt the dive loop had a lead-in like a corkscrew, and the banking into it was too early. I also felt that the last corkscrew in your ride is very arrow-y. The ride is underbanked in a couple parts too. And for the future for your steelies, you should steer clear from high laterals (cont)
