@mrkosta2000 actually it says 9,902 ft for 747-400, 10,466 for 747-100-200 and B747-300 10,893 ft at MTOW for takeoff and 747's don't takeoff at MTOW at this airport

Hey guess what!
You are wrong. They do not have a full tank of fuel and therefore need less runway. KLM stops in Curacao and fills up before crossing the Atlantic.

None of this is true. Length needed has too many variables like weight of aircraft, amount of auto breaking and reverse thrust, runway condition, engine type, etc. Your facts probably come from a fully loaded 747. The 747's at st. maarten aren't fully fueled.
