Nicola Vigilanti nasce a Bari nel 1977 ed il suo approccio con la fotografia risale al 1996, quando inizia a sviluppare e stampare fotografie in camera oscura. Completati gli studi in Scienze Politiche, comincia a viaggiare e a fotografare in giro per lEuropa, dedicandosi alla fotografia di reportage. Nel 2004, si trasferisce a Milano dove inizia a lavorare con il fotografo Carlo Borlenghi, presso l'agenzia fotografica Sea Way. Questa esperienza gli permette di apprendere nuove tecniche nel campo della fotografia digitale e di appassionarsi, successivamente, alla fotografia industriale e di architettura. Nel 2006, Nicola Vigilanti si trasferisce a Parigi, dove inizia a collaborare con diverse agenzie specializzate nel reportage, alle quali affida la divulgazione dei suoi documentari fotografici. In qualità di freelance può quindi dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla fotografia di architettura e alla fotografia industriale.

Nicola Vigilanti naît à Bari, dans la région des Pouilles, en Italie, en 1977 et son approche de la photographie remonte à 1996, lorsqu il commence à développer et imprimer des photographies en chambre noir.
Ses études en Sciences Politiques achevées, il commence à voyager et à photographier, se consacrant à la photographie de reportage.En 2004, il sinstalle à Milan où il commence à travailler avec le photographe Carlo Borlenghi, dans l'agence photographique Sea Way.Cette expérience lui permet d'apprendre de nouvelles techniques dans le domaine de la photographie numérique et de se passioner, successivement, à la photographie industrielle et d'architecture. En 2006, Nicola Vigilanti sinstalle à Paris, où il commence à collaborer avec plusieurs agences spécialisées dans le reportage, auxquelles il confie la divulgation de ses « documentaires » photographiques. En qualité de photographe indépendant, il peut donc se consacrer à la photographie d'architecture et à la photographie industrielle.

Nicola Vigilanti was born in Bari (Apulia), Italy in 1977. His approach to photography began in 1996, when he started to develop and print black and white pictures in his dark room. Once he completed his studies in Political Science, he started to travel and to take photographs around several EU countries, realizing various documentaries.
In 2004, he moved to Milan to work with the photographer Carlo Borlenghi, at the agency Sea Way. This experience gave him the opportunity to acquire new professional skills in digital photography and approach to corporate and architectural photography. In 2006, Nicola Vigilanti moved to Paris where he started to collaborate with several agencies specialized in reportage, with whom he entrusts the diffusion of his documentaries.
As a freelance photographer he can dedicate him self to architectural and industrial photography.
