i love how western carolina and ASU get into this giant pissing contest over who is better... yes WCU meets more frequently and is a better overall program. but all things considered, where are those amazing marching band parade appearances going to take them? exactly... just give it up. Your football team is so bad you have to devote your time to something else. this war needs to stop

I'm just astounded that a marching band that does one show a year, plugs up some of their instruments, can't get over the fact that college bands don't compeate...and that ASU has a better overall music program is still talking big...and the marching mountaineers only meets twice a week for two hours...I'd say we do a pretty damn good job

@tiffk9019 Oh Im sorry. I didnt mean to offend you about a parade that no one knows about. Well, while youre in Spain, you can watch the Rose Parade with the 2.1 billion TV sets in China alone, and the 3.6 billion world wide, you know...from a parade people have heard of.

@jerrygoodnght Oh sorry the ASU band will be too busy playing in SPAIN to see ya'll in California. Did I mention they only pick two bands from the USA to march in the Cabalgata de Reyes Parade in Madrid?

@goheels681 This is true. Cullowhee is sorta in the middle of nowhere. But thats beside the point. It doesnt matter where the college is, what matters is the quality that is provided. So yes, Cullowhee is small. But its not a shithole. An urban environment, such as say, Boone, could be called a shithole too. But I wont because thats not true. Cullwohee is small and were not stuck up here, were here by choice because the quality of band, school, etc is, in our opinion, unmatched.

@WoodyRoo1 Maybe you should come and see the SUdler Trophy with Western Carolina University "Pride of the Mountains Marching Band" on it, and how it says its given to the best collegiate band in the nation. App has never gotten an award for the best in the Western part of NC, let alone the nation. So, if were best in the nation, and technically, youre not anything, facts speak for themselves. POTM beats ASU...ANY DAY

@WoodyRoo1 Maybe you should see the other posts. WHat is App #1 in?? And it was my understanding that your in band for band, not the football team. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe you havce to focus on your good football tream to take focus off your awful band. WCU is num,ber one, the #1 Band in the United States. Ask thr Sudler Foundation or better yet, when we play you, and after we totally blow your faces off on Oct. 23rd and make you see alllll that sucks about App and what is better about the POTM

@WoodyRoo1decided that it would be best if all of AMerica and the world heard us on January 1st on National TV. Yeah, I dont think Apps band has ever been on NAtional TV. Well, maybe the football team takes their minds off their losing band. Buit after you consider that, consider that WCU is performing at Bandfest by INVITATION only, and that were the only band in 50+ years theyve asked to perform twice. All of these are totally separate honors and awards. What does App have?? Oh yeah, a winning

To be fair, a lot of this has to do with my crappy shooting of the performance. I had trouble uploading and had to convert files, etc, so there is distortion, blurring, etc. ASU did a GREAT job! I put these up on here so family members, friends, etc can see their loved ones perform. Maybe you should just stick to the pool????

Well that was a great 2 songs and I mean the concert formation to stand and play was just my favorite part of the entire show!!! I mean way to promote yourselves through an announcment, we do it in style by just playing and having everyone BEGGING to come to play in our band!

The performance was longer than this clip. I am new at this and I don't know how to get longer than 10 minutes or so to post. That being said, I've heard your band perform in a guest performance (it was AWESOME!)and there was PLENTY of 'self-promotion' going on! I thought the petty stuff was left in high school.
