Who played the better solo, Eddie Van Halen or Jimi Hendrix? Great head-to-head comparison here:

All are masters, and it's somewhat crass to compare them. Nevertheless, my heart warms most to Julian Bream's version. Ironically, his seems the most 'Spanish' of the lot, but this seems not so strange when you know that he was a huge Django Reinhardt fan in his youth. Ok, so Reinhardt was a Belgian born gypsy, not Spanish, but I feel Bream has somehow acquired a rather Gypsy soul and to me his version is somehow the most 'daring' of the lot. They are really all wonderful, that's just my vote.

i think the best way to play any classical guitar song, its to play it with your technique, and the connection you have with your guitar, not by imitating somebody else... just an opinion..!
