26-01-2012. Just before 16:30, Chatham-Kent Fire dispatched Station 18 in Blenheim to a Structure fire at 18795 Erieau Rd.
I was out of range of the apparatus, and couldn't hear radio traffic until I arrived. When I arrived unit 14-11 was arriving on scene to the now 2 Alarm fire, and there was heavy smoke coming from the structure, and water was being applied. Police were on scene blocking traffic. A 3rd Alarm was transmitted, and 16-12 (Tender/Tanker) was also requested from Station 16 Raleigh South, along with 14-13 from Station 14 in Erieau. "Fire out" was transmitted at 18:24.
@CBMAwards He waited for more personnel, but had to respond with out them. One firefighter came later, and responded in 18-23.

There's no one else in 18-13, execpt a lone driver. So he got to play with the sirens. *TRYING NOT TO BE RUDE OR ANYTHING*.

@CBMAwards The rig behind 18-14 is a former C-K EMS bus, and is now C-K Fires High Angle rig.

What do you mean about the bus? Was it EMS, or Blenheim High Angle Rescue?

@CBMAwards Actually, the older Ford E-Series Ambulances have been taken off of the front line, and now run as spares for EMS. There is only 1 High Angle rescue vehicle, and that is 18-23 in Blenheim. The High Angle Rescue team will assemble at a central location, in proximity to a call, and respond from there. I saw a Ford bus at a fire in Wallaceburg the other night, I am not sure, but I think it may still be on the front lines.

THATS why the ford EMS buses are no longer in service. About 3-4 of them have been sold to the FD for use of high angle rescue.
