@xfire5770 Marineland in Napier, New Zealand (which closed in 2008) had two Common Dolphins, in a deep, but fairly small open-air tank. The average lifespan for a common dolphin is 25 years. The two dolphins died at the ages of 32 and 34, respectively
Feral cats seldom live longer than 8 years. Cats owned as pets usually live at least 14 years, often 18 or even 20.
Eastern cottontail rabbits live approximately 3 years in the wild. In captivity, they live up to 8 years.

*insert angry, unresearched lecture on how the lizard in the video is clearly maltreated and all pet owners are evil, while simultaeneously revealing that the poster doesn't know the first thing about either animals or how to treat them properly, followed by a brief condemming of everyone who disagrees with the point of view being expressed.
Optional extra: atrocious spelling to emphasize emotional involvement.*

@freyjametal666 i cant b assed to read what comment ur replying 2, but 1 fault with yours is any animal that is living in captivity will not live as long as it would in the wild simply because it is not natural despite what amount of predators they would encounter
-
@freyjametal666 true that
-
@NCNC08 how do you even know he got it from the wild?
-
What a cutie :)
-
only keep it if its injured

@snakeman32695 reptiles are born in life knowing what to do they run on instinct not intelligence im not saying they are stupid but they dont need a mom teaching them like birds and mammals if a bear cubs mother was killed it would die either from predation or starvation so there you have if 1 so happened be released after a life in captivity it would live
-
@NCNC08 Also you dumbass odds are that that is a captive bred skink therefore if put it the wild it will die... dumbass
im sorry, but are you an idiot?
this little guy has it all, not even a full walled cage.
thus the animal does not feel trapped and feels more free then the animals at the Calgary Zoo.
heres some information for you:
animals living in capitivty tend to live a longer life agenst an animal that is wild and exposed to danger.
when you think about it, a pet like this is living a luxurious livestyle.
suck it.
