His ethnicity and religion are irrelevant. What is relevant is that the longstanding, uncontroversial rule of the library was that ID's are checked at the time at which the library closes for the public, and only students with ID's are allowed to remain.

It was he, who tried to play the race card, claiming he was being singled out. It was bullshit then, and it is bullshit now.
