tools used to create vid:

FL Studio = music as audio & MIDI;

Music Animation Machine MIDI Player = MIDI visualiser;

HyperCam = capture MIDI Player screen window to vid;

RamDisk = destination for HyperCam capture to avoid stalls of MIDI visualiser;

VirtualDub = for simple edit of captured vids (crop, resize, rotate, flip, hue changes);

AVSedit = to create AviSynth script to assemble separate captured vids and audio onto one vid, add logo and intro/outro bits;

MeGUI = read avisynth script and compress resulting audio and video to aac and h.264 in an mp4 container ready to upload to YouTube!

{..whew!..}

please note:

no hallucinogenic drugs were used in creating this video. No LSD or STP or mescalin or even marijuana mary jane (or whatever it is young folk call it nowadays). .. though it could be assumed brain damage was a contributing factor.

.. nor were any skulls or islands or giant gorillas harmed during the production of this video.

.. dont watch this vid hoping for porn .. there is none - of the human variety, anyway. There may be intergalactic beings who might find some of the shapes bawdy, but maybe they won't have a problem with that. Their society may be more sophisticated and broad minded than ours. If it turns out intergalactic beings contact YouTube to complain, then i'll be disappointed. That supposedly higher beings have little else to do but to complain about apparently pornographic geometric shapes is very sad.

  • too late for this one, but the next vid will be soaked in acid .. so be sure to lick the screen. 8-)

  • Hey Mijj, this is the most complex use of the MAMPlayer I've seen --- very interesting! The use of the WHEEL view for percussion is very clever; I would never have thought of that; it works well. Congratulations!

  • Thanks, smalin. You created a great visualisation tool. Glad you liked my attempt to do it justice.

  • good job

  • @thawthepast

  • Hey! I used to go out with one of those shapes in high school. She was a slut then, too.
