Shortly after visiting an Edmonton chiropractor and having her neck adjusted, David Nette's wife, Sandy, suffered a stroke. Both vertebral arteries in her neck were torn and she was left almost totally paralyzed. In Part Two of his story, David talks about his life with Sandy after her paralysis.

I couldn't sleep either. I thought from discomfort from the dry mouth and dehydration. They couldn't keep an IV in me from the convulsions. I heard the staff talking about how they thought I was lazy because I couldn't help them move myself. I'm like 6'8" 280lbs. I keep water and a rag near to keep the mouth wet. God bless you sir. I thank you for helping to share meaning and hope for the caretakers of stroke survivors. Much courage you display, and much respect.
