@sapientevolution69 Ford had a car called rs200 evolution a 2 liter twin turbo charged car with 815 hp and went 0-60 in 2 seconds and this was in 1986 >.>, at the time nissan was to busy struggling to copy the ford taurus to save its ass. Dodge viper 8.4 liter v10 has one of the best fuel economy in super car class >.> i sense bias from u grrrr
Your Totally right about the white LIES from Nissan about Horsepower claims.
The division make the GT-R by hand, and set the amount of boost etc for each car with a bit of autonomy on what they are doing.
Imagine your Nissan boss tells you he wants a GT-R to break the record at the "Ring", would YOU give him a standard car? I'd give him a button so he could initiate a command to the ECU to increase boost etc by 40% extra. Wouldn't YOU?
Nice vid, but this doesn't sound like the R35 GTRs I normally see around my neighborhood or see on youtube from the interior...and this sounds a lot better!
Good summary, but I have a question; the old GTRs used to share the same frame at the GTS model, so does the current GTR share the same frame as the V37? I've always wondered this.
No GTR frame is independently designed, however the the older GTR and GTSs didn't share all that much either. Different suspension, different steering, different drive train, different electronics, different subframe both front and back, witch differentiates the GTR and GTS frame wise (at least on the R32 and R33 I'v never worked on R34), also the GTRs were string-welded in places to strengthen the chassi witch the GTS's weren't (not sure on the R34 GTT, think the it and GTR was more similar)
