You are swiping way faster than I swiped. It isn't that it's not fast enough, but because the card reader is so small the card doesn't stay perfectly straight while swiping it.
With the version of the app that I tried, it asked if I wanted to do a tutorial after a few swipe attempts and then it told me to swipe it from right to left, and make sure the credit card doesn't bend or tilt at all during the swipe.
