Man! I never knew Jockeys went through that. Why don't they wear some sort of pads? Because of added weight? Seems like something could be put in place to help protect them better.
Nice film by the way.

Great video...love it but always hold my breath hoping not to see this kind of stuff happen. Bull riding and horse racing....putting their safety and lives on the line all the time (more so with racing).

yeah, nerves of steel.want to know why? because they are so busy fixing horses ..it wears down the jockeys.read up on race fixing on the net before you head to the track tomorrow. You will quit the sport and toss out your handicapping system that youve worked so hard at. Racing is corrupt ,and the commission is even worse (they look the other way because they are all on the inside. Jockeys get pardoned by crooked cops while the betting public gets robbed. Tracks are already empty.Casino's better

@XXBenitaXX64 Racehorses are treated like royalty. Maybe not at bush tracks, but the majority. Horses cannot be forced to do ANYTHING they do not want to do. In any style of riding. I am a huge racing fan. Have been for 11 years. However, I am not ignorant. I do disagree with running horses too young. Some disgusting trainers called Butchers will run their horses full of painkillers. Unfortunately, that is all that those outside of racing see. It is a beautiful sport, but it has become corrupt.

Thinking about it, that'd be the best job ever being one of the medics in those ambulances, not like they'd ever do anything, maby couple times a year.. be awsome

Wat about all this poor horses uno the ones that actually put the most work and effort in the ones that are too yound to race like that all the horses the went down in this vid and wer most likely killed the ones that have no choice the ones that MAY not want to run the ones that wer shouted at to run the ones that MAY just want to be loved and not race the ones that are forced into pain the ones that few care about. :,(

@anooseholay Please, let's not discuss horse slaughter as a "positive" manner. There is nothing good about horse slaughter, for if us humans didn't over breed horses, then it wouldn't be necessary to send them off for meat. I have an ex-racehorse, who, had he not been saved when his leg was broken, would have either been euthanized or sent to the slaughterhouse. And please, don't harass Lhenny4. I am sure that Lhenny4 is aware of what often becomes of injured horses.

that shows that we must respect horses and realise how dangerous horse racing is, great mini doc, wonderful, when that jockey was dangling there, i was so hoping the horse would stop and throw him back on his back and bring em to hospital.
RIP to those who were killed in the sport.
