3.The fact that Sonia is an Italian origin Christian is suspected to be hugely responsible for this affront on the Hindu traditions of India which has always stood for religious tolerance o fthe highest order throughout history. But when the ambassador makes a reference to Sonia as a Christian of distinction in the Indian polity, it is not tolerated by Congressmen in power since it does not suit it when elections are about to be held in several states of the country.

2. >> This fact has naturally created huge resentment and consternation among Indian Hindus who form the vast majority which considers its cultural and intellectual traditions superior. The Hindus except for time servers and opportunists among English-schooled sections, also resent the strongly suspected influence of the highly placed Xian converts in permitting enormous conversion work conducted by the missionaries using fraudulently collected donations and illegally imported funds.

It sounds great for an India's ambassador to proclaim the grand pluralikstic nation, citing spectacular examples of people from the different religious communities occupying high positions in government, party political hierarchy, etc. However it is an indisputable fact that there is such a disproportionately very high number of Christian converts in such high positions, many of them hiding their religion by continuing their pre-conversion Hindu names.
