  • One of the greatest albums. Ever.

  • I've been re-listening to Roy H again over the last a couple of years and only really now recognise his genius, not a term I use frequently. I've added his Lifemask and Stormcock albums to my Must Have list. Let's hope he comes out of retirement for a few more live shows. Thanks for posting this great track.

  • @walkquietlyby i always thought it was the same sound as the song in the wicker man soundtrack. probably the same one. a traditional folk piece i reckon

  • The beginning of the song is very similar to the traditionnal "Willy O'Winsbury", particulary Pentangle's version (which was recorded afterward though). Anyone know if there's a story behind that?

  • I do so agree - eeMondili!!! A rarely heard, but really great acoustic album that is totally Unique - we will not hear the like of it again!! I am doing my best to promote it on the 'Net'!

  • The H Bomb

  • take a roy harper tape up to nepal .....

  • heard this last night for the first time, and it blew me away

  • I still cant believe how much music is to discover... Its first time when I hear Roy Harper and all I can say is OH MY GOD !!!

  • @darrylsweetland

Yes, you're a man really -- and I'm not really gay, never liked the Stranglers, and I might not even be from Cardiff!

Hey dude, get virtual -- this is the Net!!

  • @Drblooter99 I have never heard of a 'decent and proper Cardiffian' before. Surely this is a contradiction in terms!! Apart from the time when I wore a mini-skirt and pink fluffy T-shirt to the Stranglers concert alluded to, my legs were also frequently on display around South Wales during my games for Llantwit Major Rugby Club - oh yes, I am all man really!!!!
