A landing in less than 1000 feet, you can hear the reverse come in after the wheels hit. At the beginning of the video you can see the runway on the left side of the screen. Then reverse thrust is used to back the plane into the hanger.

  • nice landing! but theres no need to risk flight safety because of 2 minutes more taxi time.

  • @jerejose Thanks for the comment! However, I assure you no flight safety was risked.

  • How much do you have to dress out your prop after all that reverse action? It beats em up pretty bad on a King Air

  • There is enough ground clearance so that its usually not a problem backing into a hanger like this. The prop gets beat up more from sitting there while loading, especially on gravel strips and the like...

  • is that a bullet hole in the screen?

  • No bullet holes here, but some crop dusters have been known to get shot at, usually by idiot kids.

  • Talk about experience!! Nice

  • Thats an Air Tractor so its not actually reverse thrusters. The Air Tractor has a feature where the prop angle rotates so that air is being pushed forward and not back.

  • I kinda miss them TPE331 thrushs

  • And that is how it is done. Excellent video.

  • That is a typical cropduster landing. We flew AgWagons and didn't have the reverse but it's a typical landing. Trust me those pilots can land on a dime and hand you back change.........

  • That is a typical landing from a crop duster. We flew AgWagons and AgTrucks so we didn't have reverse, but I can tell you from watching my dad that, that was a typical landing...... and trust me any cropduster can land on a dime with change left over. If you could see some of the strips that we used, you would be amazed.......

  • dodgy ag pilots :-)

  • I'd call this "how you make money in the spray biz"

  • Nice turn to final! Loved the reverse into the hangar too.
