The barriers are intentionally designed to allow plenty of time for vehicles already crossing to continue. Those walking should step it up a bit, but there's still sufficient time to get across. Of course, delays to ponder options, such as turning back, are ill-advised.

  • @disneyfan81 Look again. She was actually past the barrier when the crossing activated. She should have been one bike length further back before we can judge her to be impatient. Stopping and turning around could actually be wrong, specially if somebody happened to stop right behind you, blocking your escape route.

  • 向島?

  • @gotnoshoes99 What about that woman who walked her bike across the tracks from :31 to :41?! She seemed pretty impatient (not to mention foolhardy, since the walked across even though the signal tripped!)!

Well Mario was made in Japan...

  • 非常に装飾され、いい音日本鉄道・ クロッシングは好きです。

  • I know! I think "Mario Kart 64" was made in Japan too, so it makes sense

  • I suspect Kiwi's would have even less. Japan sets the standard for patience and discipline around level crossings, or at least it does in this clip.

  • Americans would never have the patience to stand and wait for a crossing guard signal like that, but then you would never see lazy Americans walking or bicycling.
