Kevin Rudd was not prepared to stand idly by while people's fears in Australia were being fed by the stream of bad economic news from abroad.

In this extract from the Prime Minister's address to the nation, the Prime Minister explains how the Government took decisive action to guarantee all deposits in all Australian banks, building societies and credit unions, for the next three years.

  • KEVIN RUDD HAS MY TOTAL SUPPORT !!!!

  • RUDD'S A DUDD

  • Ausralias financial systems are corrupt to the core. Greed runs everything. Debt is everywhere. If Australians were to be educated on Americas Declaration Of Independence July 4,1776 and the Founding Fathers ideas of trading in gold and silver without usery ie DEBT (debt was created to limit peoples prosperity and turn them into financial slaves) Australia would see an age of incredible community prosperity and freedom to increase consciousness, develop love of health and understand true peace.

  • intersting that the only comments are fawning, overly positive comments for the PM (nothing critical or calls out Mr. Rudd on any issue). An indication of what we can expect with the mandatory internet filter perhaps.

  • think over your executive decisions properly before you intervene in the market. this was not necessary, and caused my trouble than any good

  • wow
