True for some, but most Japanese people I've met have no idea who Jesus is. The bottom line is Romans 10:14, "But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?"

Have you considered that maybe they did hear about Jesus, but didn't care? That seems to be the attitude of most Japanese.
