Ashley, have you shared this video with your husband? Very often I find men are not aware of how far their wives have dropped in these stages. They try to get help when their wives file for divorce or leave them. Sharing this video with him might help to open his eyes so you (or most likely he) can take steps towards repairing the marriage.

I kind of wish I could have shared this a week ago when I got home. Many tears later, I just paid a $2000 retainer fee and I truly feel is is too late now :( I would have done anything for her. But the military deployed me for a year and she met someone else

So sorry to hear that. For future relationships be sure to consider how the childhood influences adult behavior. If one or both parent was unfaithful, a child is more likely to repeat that behavior. There are exceptions to this rule of course, but I often see people marry someone with similar issues to ex spouse. It's important to understand how your own upbringing, values & beliefs compare to your spouse's because this is what causes conflict in marriage. Thank you for serving.

This video was informative and I was able to admit some of my faults. However, I found the video rather subjective implying that men are the causality of failing or failed marriages. This video in someways, reinforces what wives in marriages complain about.

That was not my intention, these steps also apply to women. I find men very often don't realize just how unhappy their wives are until they receive divorce papers or she leaves the house. The intention of this video is to help men (and women) identify which step their spouse is on so they can take steps to do something about it before the spouse takes measures to end the marriage.

How do you know your marriage is over? WHEN SHE DOES NOT CRY ANYMORE..that is when the men start to cry and tables get turned.

Randy, those are all typical signs of a Chaos Kid. Here are the 5 rules of all Chaos Kids: (This is for a woman, but is true of men too)

    - She says what she doesn’t mean and what she means, she doesn’t say.

    - She believes her needs are more important than your needs.

    - She sells herself as somebody she’s not.

    - Any good thing you do or say, she sees as a threat.

    - She wants what she can’t have and what she has, she doesn’t want.

Thid is so true. I wish my husband would be open to this. We are not talking anymore, or do we see eye to eye on anything, we are more like roommates that share two kuds

Narcissistic personality /...Borderline personality disorder sounds more like narcissism though ... Personality disorders are VERY COMPLEX defence mechanisms. The disordered creates a false personality, usually to cope with a traumatic, neglected, abusive childhood... " had to play the role of adult during childhood."..were denied a childhood...You will never live up to the " imagined ideal" ITS COMPLEX its not your fault. THE FIRST STEP IS UNDERSTANDING HOW TO HANDLE YOURSELF IN THE SITUATION

I always say, just don't get married to begin with. My mum is nagging me to find a girl and settle down 24/7. and I always said "I got better thing to do then to pay alimony, for the rest of my life."

I've just showed my husband this video. I'm hoping he will agree to the program. He's in the military and is stationed overseas. I travel back and forth every 3 months, and every time I go over we end up fighting bc I'm not happy and don't have a balance in my two worlds. We've been doing this for over a year and a half, and we have a three year old. We thought we could make it work, but it's tearing my family apart! He's in the bog stage, and I'm trying to save it! I really do LOVE HIM!!

Will these steps presented save a marriage ? IDK. However, this video shows exactly how my marriage ended. My ex-wife and I went through the same process of 'no-return'. At the time I couldn't see it, however, with time, the pieces start to fall into place. This video showing how these events happen is dead on. Very insightful !
