ATI Catalyst & ATI Tray Tool

The original problem which I have encountered in all ATI Catalyst versions up to 9.4 which I'm using now is that even if I unlocked the Overdrive function, it wouldn't let me move the slider for the GPU and Memory clocks. The only way I was able to actually underclock my card was by using ATI Tray Tools.

After using ATI Tray Tools to underclock my GPU, I checked back with Catalyst and I saw that the original value of 800 was now down to 634 (the value I changed it to). I can also move the sliders now in ATI Catalyst.

Shouldn't I be able to move the sliders to over/underclock in Catalyst without using ATI Tray Tools originally right after I unlock the Overdrive padlock?

Anyway, if you're wondering, I just underclocked my GPU to 634 because I noticed I don't get any Power Saving Mode crashes with that clock speed anymore. Smooth gaming!

ok for those who are getting bsod and saying "it r a viruz" you either fucked up your settings, you dont have enough ram, or you installed a virus that wasnt the real one the real one is at guru3d.com

@lunei66 maybe you should not tired to mess with the advanced settings is you had no idea what you were doing, look up tuts on yahoo or something to make it default, if used correctly, you can play games on great quality and no lagg!

Ati tray tools is horrible, just opening the advanced tweaks and just LOOKING without touching anything fucked up my entire computers performance so badly, fps in bioshock 2 went from 75 to maybe 10-20, a-fucking-mazing.
