@bomono3 Actually, I believe it was Recca on the hardest difficulty that really started bullet hell. Dodonpachi made it popular, and Touhou made it extremely popular.

@bomono3 Touhou's considered one of the easier series of shmup games. Plus, the fanbase is something to be feared if you don't like the same stuff as them. It's wholly understandable.
