BOSTON POLICE SEEK PUBLICS HELP TO IDENTIFY
SUSPECTS IN SOUTH BOSTON THEFT
REWARD OF $1000 OFFERED FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE RECOVERING OF STOLEN ITEMS

Today Boston Police are releasing surveillance video with images of two suspects related to a recent breaking and entering incident at 25 Channel Center in South Boston. Investigators are hoping that the community may be able to assist with the identification of these individuals. In addition, a $1000.00 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the stolen items.

At about 8:45am, on Monday, May 25, 2009, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering at 25 Channel Center. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that someone had broken in to his apartment and stole several pieces of jewelry. According to the victim, he had left his house on Friday and returned home on Monday. Upon returning to his apartment, the victim says thats when he noticed the missing items. Officers observed no signs of forced entry.

While still on the scene, at about 9:45am, officers responded to a 2nd call for a breaking and entering inside the same building. Officers spoke to the 2nd victim who, like the first victim, was away for the weekend and, upon returning home, noticed items missing from his apartment. Specifically, the victim says he noticed several pieces of jewelry, antique statues and some art work missing. Officers observed no signs of forced entry.

The Boston Police Department has received and is releasing surveillance video related to the incidents. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Area C-6 detectives (South Boston) at (617) 343-4730.

Community members who wish to assist the investigation in an anonymous manner should call CrimeStoppers at 1(800) 494-TIPS or text the word TIP to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police will stringently protect the identity of those who wish to remain anonymous.

  • @andrewh23 No because so many people would have used the door between the time they committed the robbery, and the time police showed up to investigate. There's an outside shot that the dummy who touched the glass on the inside of the outer door's print may still be there.

  • hehehe badass oldtimers...

  • Wouldn't their fingerprints be on that door?
