This is a work in progress.. Just started playing this tune about a week ago.
Played on my new Yamaha SLG 100S. Very cool travel guitar! You can just use headphones direct into the guitar so no one can hear you play-- or you can plug into an amp to be heard.

  • Do these guitar accept distortion pedals?

  • @daweller

I don't use them- but I'd assume so. 1/4" output from guitar.

  • Hi Elfredo, I don't know a lot about live gigs- I'm more of a recreational player myself. I have seen pics of Brian May and Paul Rogers playing it in concert though! Matthias Jabs from Scorpions as well- so if it's good enough for them.. I haven't changed the setup- seemed low enough for me. Doesn't go out of tune much- but I don't do a lot of bending.

  • I bought it used for $450. I think they're $650 or $700 Cdn.

  • my dear .. well played but if am not wrong u wer reading tabs all the time wen u wer playing..

readin tabs is not a sign of a good musician.. sorry to say.. :)

  • I didn't know Chevy Chase played guitar.

  • @daweller YES , the steel string version handles distortion rather well considering that it's equipped with a piezo pickup.

Of cause it can't beat a set of good humbuckers, but it's still damn good for distortion or fuzz.

Even the nylon string version can be plugged into distortion, but not very good for the job.

  • How would this guitar be at a live gig? Do you think, that the sound would be big and rich enough to play in a big hall? And how is the playability, did you need to change it? And my last question, does it go out of tune a lot? Thank you at advance :-)

  • haha pretty cool... how much did it cost cause i wanna buy one too

  • very nice!
