6 hrs a day?! Good lord, how do you find the time? I just started up again since high school, been about 7 years... I practice about an hour a day. I guess I should really step up my game!! Trying to learn fiddle styles.

Keep it up, Mike. Sounds great as usual. One of these days I'll bring my old 3/4 fiddle over and see if you can saw a good tune out of it. I can't! (Been mentioning that for a long time!) - a neighbor from down the road a mile.

I am from Macon Ga as well and lived in Johnson City Tennessee 23 years! I LOVE Appalachian music & thank you "home-boy" for bringing this to us!!

How awesome! I think my brother took some lessons from Mike Bryant. My brother and I posted some lessons featuring how to play Old-Timey Appalachian style fiddling on my channel. we just posted Candy Girl in AEAE tuning and are gonna post a bunch more too. Mike Bryant is not only one of the best old time fiddlers around, he is also one of the nicest fellows I have ever had the plesure of meeting. Sadly I haven't seen him in awhile. Awesome video Mike, your playing is incredible as always.

A lovely sound here. Mike has clearly mastered his instrument & genre. What I particularly like here is the close-up shots of Mike playing & working his instrument. The close-ups ably demonstrate just why so much practice is needed to get it right. Like all masters of their craft, Mike puts out a sound which seems 'easy' to achieve .. but of course which is really only ever reached after long, long time & effort input, in order to secure this elite level of skill & mastery. Great posting !!
