Destroying the protected port of the protected island Spetses, without any license. How the repairs jumping from max 600.000 euro to 1.260.000 euro, then 15.000.000 euro and now up to 18.500.000 euros and up it goes. The existed port is near Peloponisos so is protected. The fantastic giant port plans almost tuching the opposite land are good for an island with typhoons every day. Such a construction will close the waters and will rise dramaticaly the pollution in Spetses. Also will damage the protected character of the island, that is the only making money industry, the tourism. The view for visitors will be only docks.
Exists big port near by PortoHeli, Poros, Aigina and there is not such passengers movement. Big cruiser stopping at Hydra out from the port but never in Spetses because is not destination. A catastrophy without license only for the money. And not a service to stop them. For 1.800 fammillies in Spetses is a cost 10.000 euros each one when they pay to go and return to Piraias 60 euros each person, because there is not a simple boat in the line. Only flying and catamarans. So what is the need for such a giant port?
Moooneeeyyyy for few!!

  • when i lived and worked in spetses in 1980-81 all the big decisions seem to be done by corrupt officials, im not at all surprised at this, ps is yiannis, bebeckas son still driving a horse cab.

  • Spetses authorities are showing a great....er...tolerance in all kind of illegal activities. Anargyros, that great Spetsiota has said something about the island and it's people......and he was absolutely right.

It's a pity for the island. Yet the people are too much corrupted by tourism, life style and....money ofcourse. My "compliments " to the leaders of the island !!
