  • Amazing, isn't she? Quite a talent, indeed! For a second there I thought it was Invernizzi singing.

    BRAVA!!!!

Handel's music is so very wonderful...

  • Hmmm, what! Are you sure you thought of Invernizzi (a soprano) not of some mezzo or contralto?

    :S

  • Sonia Prina does not cease to amaze. Ever since "Arie Ritrovate", she appears to have found her niche, and demonstrate a virtuosity second to none.

  • PERFETTA. Don't forget you fools. It's a live performance. BRAVA!!!

  • wow powerful yet precise

  • brava Sonia, eccellente come sempre.

  • Sonia Prina, sempre SPLENDIDA !!! Una voce tanto bella e così poco conosciuta. Un giusto posto tra i GRANDI. Un Contralto di rara e incantevole luminosità! BRAVA, BRAVA, BRAVA e grazie per il graditissimo post. 5*****

  • This was not so good. I don't like her tone and she made a lot of mistakes in this piece. But I respect her courage to sing this hard aria.

  • This aria is seriously overlooked. I think it's really one of Handel's gems, but as far as I can tell, it's never even been put on a solo album. It needs more exposure! And great renditions like this one are a nice start. Tempo great (maybe a touch too fast, but better that than too slow), lovely voice, very expressive, ornamentation both interesting and (with 1 or 2 exceptions). The fluidity of her coloratura is impressive; Larmore could learn a thing or two from Ms. Prina.

  • Nah, it's more about tempo than singing.

    I like slower 'Va tacito'.

  • I feel that her 'Va tacito' is the best I've ever heard. I really like the weight of a Contralto singing that aria. Each to their own though :)

  • Does she know what a trill is?
