Yamaha's YZF-R6 has been a major player in the middleweight sportbike wars ever since it debuted in 1999. In this mid-cycle revision for 2008, the tweaked R6 has a bolstered midrange punch and even better handling dynamics in the face of new-for-2007 challengers from Honda and Kawasaki, plus a revised GSX-R600 from Suzuki for '08.

My first bike was a '99 R6 i loved it!! Next i bought a 2005 gsx-r it was cool but i ended up selling it. Yesterday picked up the '08 R6 from a friend i fuckin love it. This bike handles awesome and looks super sexy!!! Cant go wrong with an Yamaha

@toosharp91 I bought an R6 for my first bike. I don't recommend it. If I could go back, I'd buy a used Ninja 250 and ride that until I felt ready to upgrade.
