Actually, she is referring to solid snake both times.

His actions throughout in games Metal Gear 1, 2 and MGS 2 & 4 brought the world to ruin. The patriots used solid snake as a pawn to take out Big Boss because he was a threat (Big Boss wanted to take-out Zero and the patriots because of what they became also because of their different views of the Boss's will). Snake and friends were also responsible for making the patriot's A.I. become solely focused on the war economy.

@MrTheChompiras I meant that the "son" who's gonna bring the world to ruin was not Liquid but Ocelot, so he wasn't his son, that means Kojima made a mistake.

Because the time he created Metal Gear Portable Ops, he didn't think about this "hypnosis, drugs, psychotherapy and nanomachines to transplant the personality" thing.

When Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty was released, Ocelot was supposed to be possessed by Liquid, that's why Kojima (through Elisa) said these prophecies.

@Snafu01 The only thing Philanthropy did is inject FOXALIVE into the GW AI to destroy the other 4 AIs to get rid of the Patriots, but saving the most important economic necessities such as water, electricity, transportation and comm, . The whole world fell in debt because they relied on PMCs and the war economy to boost their nations.

And no, Philanthropy (Snake, Otacon, Sunny) were not responsible for making the Patriot's A.I from becoming solely focused on the war economy. The Patriot's AIs were already implementing it, thanks to the SOP system, plus the PMCs booming around the countries allowed the war economy to spread around, thus beginning Liquid Ocelot's insurrection.

@Snafu01 You got some points correct, but I disagree with you in some things. In MG 1, Snake was sent in by Big Boss to infiltrate Outer Heaven to report false info and also thinking that Snake can't succeed in the mission, because he was a rookie in Foxhound, which Big Boss is a commander of too.
