  • actually, objectivity means being able to look at a situation with a clear, fair mind. Yes, you look at both sides of the argument, but after that sometimes you see that one is more wrong than the other. That IS objectivity. Now, I don't have to call you a retard or anything as bad as what you called me, cause anyone who reads your post can see what you are for themselves. Thanks! :)

  • Typical leftist. You get shut down in debate so you resort to name calling. Thats okay. But as far as your comment about the "whole world" being hamas. Sorry for you my angry friend but if that were true than Israel wouldnt exist anymore and you and I both know that Israel isnt going anywhere anytime soon no matter how much that may piss you off. I hope Israel finishes the job this time. Later my angry terrorist friend.

  • both objective and neutral journalism/reporting can mislead...critical thinking is a must but not always present...seems there is a difference between "objective" reporting and the pushing of an opinion/agenda...what do you think?...then again, perhaps it depends on how you define the word objective...

    –adjective

    4.

being the object or goal of one's efforts or actions.

    5.

not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts; unbiased: an objective opinion.

  • @Daisy4Loka LOL Yes, calling someone a libtard make you sound objective and open minded.

  • And I'm soooo sure Cenk is so objective and open minded considering his bias libtard rants on The Young Turds and MSNBC.

    Shut up you stupid libtard!

  • @Kalahridudex if hamas failed.. yeah sure the war would end.. but at that time, would gaza still exist.. or would it be by then part of israel.. or even do palestine state would gone by then.. that's why they keep fighting.. they had no one whom they can trust to make sure gaza and palestinian state going to be established.. and why nobody trust them.. bcoz israel label them as terrorist when they're just seeking independence and a sovereign state.. they cant rely on fatah.

  • @Kratzbyrste wow you wrote this comment a year ago and look what isreal has done since...good call!!

  • Must we cONtinuE to be assaulted bY the bIg newS channEls? they Really (ReallY) boTHer me wIth their very biased News... God help us

  • Thats why I watch Fox News. I fuckin hate it, but at the same time I like to look at things from both perspectives so I can make my own judgments in the end. Ppl who think subjectively are inclined to sheepism.

  • To present the news is a responsability beyond anything else in media.

It goes hand in hand with the preservance of democracy and the right to form your own opinions without the taint of manipulation.

Objectivity must be upheld, at all cost, lest we'd be stuck with the same undemocratic philosophies that our american counterparts subscribe to.

  • @TimLivelyUnearthed Indeed. Where I come from, personal commentaries are completely unethical when youre reporting the news.

Because it is not your job to express your opinions or to rally the people for or against anything.

It doesnt matter if a club-owner had tourched his club, killing 100s, for the insurance money. One personal comment about it, and someone else will be in your anchor-seat before the next morning.
