CJ was the one that didn't expect to be COS.. everyone else was on a ego trip...She could tell him off without making him angry, the way Toby did.

@emmyjo720 Do you think that's why Leo chose her to be chief of Staff

@thatdrattedcat You should watch 5-7 properly. What the WW lost in the details and small moments of inside humour, it more than made up for in 6/7 in particular with an inspired choice of Republican opponent. Vinick made the last season and a half of the WW. And casting Alan Alda was genius too.

@aukapokatiky Yes she did, after the MS scandal got out, she had been benched for mispeaking.., Jed had gone in is shell and was being rude to his staff. It was CJ that eventually told him off and brought him round.

@MJD1701A Yeap what do you do when kids of Sasha and Melia's age get death threats? And what do you do when natural disasters threaten and already bad world economic situation?

I wonder if that list that Donna has of the things that haven't done, is now how they feel in the Obama Whitehouse....Josh is so often massed up.. . the incident with Mary Marsh, screwing up the drug addiction enquiry, the secret plan to fight inflation,
etc. He was always going to go to far one day.

CJ is so often the one that told him off.

that music at the end is bullshit. the last moments of the episodes are often crucial, dramatic, important. there is a serious conclusive tone to them. sometimes they are very emotional and profound, and just when the screen goes black and u get a chance to close ur eyes and take a breath: DINDIRIEIIDINDINDIDIDIRIDNIRID
EIDRIDI and loud too! -
It's Youtube clips like this one that are responsible for my downloading dozens of episodes from iTunes...

i always hated how leo and the president left josh out to dry after he messed up. everyone on the show had messed up from time to time and leo had even backed josh's call to play it tough. i lost a lot of respect for leo during this. i loved how they looked out for each other in the earlier seasons and that seemed to disappear in the later seasons.
Martin Sheen was born to play this part.
Amazing performances throughout the series.

Dead wrong. The key people around the POTUS cannot afford to be butt-kissers too often. He (the President) relies on extreme candor with those who are closest to him. That is why they NEVER comment about their opinions to the press...until they resign from their post.
