I recently installed a SCSI compact flash card reader and slim floppy drive on my Emax II sample (special thanks to Ted Summers and John R. Southern for all their hard work and help!).

For instructions on how to add a SCSI CF card reader and slim floppy drive yourself check out this site:

http://djtbs1.wordpress.com/2010/10/04/some-install-related-pics/slim-floppy-...

In this video, I demonstrate that it is possible to take a .wav file, transfer it to your Emax via RS422 and then save it to a compact flash card from a Mac Mini running OS 10.6.7.

I use a EMuSer:

in this video as well which was created by esynthesist, who also designed the software that I use in this video called EMXP:

Enjoy! (sorry for the shakey cam!)

  • Thanks John! I actually modded a 2nd slim floppy adapter last night. Unfortunately even though I have 2 USB Floppy Drives with TEAC FD-05's, I took them apart and they do not have the same connector as my other TEAC's. So I ordered 2 more. Hopefully they will show up soon!
