  • They are still made in holland, but from an other brand. It's the Showtec Genesis scan, and im sure that its the same scanner because it has the same functions and same gobos.

if i have a spare 400 euro's left i am gonna buy two! and maybe an extra two in the future because i love this light!

  • @Erwinismyname while these two lights are similar in design, function, etc they are not the same light. The Q-Scan 250 is larger and has a little more weight. That weight is from the materials the light is built with. The Genesis light has 8 colors the 250 has 11, plus the 2 multi colors. The gobos in the 250 are indexed not so in the Genesis. The step motors in the 250 have a higher ratio on movement meaning smoother beam movements. The Genesis is a good light but the Q-scan is the bomb!

  • very nice looks like a nice light!

  • @546dj the Q-Scan 250 is an awesome light. If you ever get a chance to play with them you'll know what I mean.

  • Very Nice thank you!! What Softwhere were you useing for control? Great Job!

    Thanks a Ton,

  • Just got 5 of them for $600 with custom cases!

One has a problem, the dmx board is not functional...it turns on at startup and shows reset then it wont let you do anything.

The other 4 work great! AMAZING LIGHT!

  • great video! Your really know your stuff.

  • @ChadAlanEvents Hey you're right! The Genesis scan is a little less heavy duty than the Chauvet one. But a cool feature with the Genesis scan is that it has 230 degrees pan. And the Q scan has 180 degrees pan. but anyway, thanks for the information. i really appreciate it. :) Gr Erwin

  • awesome good luck!
