Lately, I've been playing Ultima Exodus on the NES. I actually played this 8 or so years ago, but never figured it out and was always getting "game over" due to running out of food and not knowing how to get any money. I did reach level 5 though, but couldn't get any higher for some reason.

With knowledge gained from the Final Fantasy series, starting around 2002 or 2003, I gave this game another try and compared to 8 or so years ago, I'm much further, but I'm only at the extreme start for one reason and you'll see a clue when I visit the armor shop near the end of the video.

My top favorite thing, like with the Final Fantasy series, are the battles, but this has a competitor - the sound effect when an enemy misses: it frequently makes me laugh, especially when two or more consecutive misses are made. I avoid the enemies that start appearing by level 5 (in which I don't know how you go higher, even with 2000 EXP on one character) as, without a more decent way of curing everyone, they aren't worth it.
