i tried this recipe and my cookies came out DELICIOUS! by far the best chocolate chip recipe i've ever tried. although they're great as is, i added 2 tbs. of unsweetened cocoa to the dry ingredients. i always appreciate a little chocolate kick to EVERYTHING. YUMMM-MEE!

I think I made the biggest mistake while trying to bake these cookies.. I used Imperial which is made up 65% of vegetable oil!! I thought this would be okay since the label says "Great for baking!" My cookies were flat and hard on the edges and gooey in the middle! It was a disaster!!! Could someone please recommend what type of butter to use for me? I am not sure, but I am thinking this is the only cause since I did everything else accordingly.
