Tv show, THE WIRE, shows great example of Community Policing

We believe community policing works and that by having beat officers on the street the relationship between law enforcement officers and the community will improve.

If you watched the show, you know that the only reason they were able to do that kind of community policing is because the commander legalized drugs in his district. With Drug Prohibition the police is at war with the community. The "War on Drugs" is fought on the streets of inner city neighborhoods, among other places.
