This is the climate change bill goes to vote in the house tomorrow why is no one talking about this instead everybody's talking about healthcare. All because our president is David Copperfield. The bill aims to cap greenhouse gas emissions by 17% at 2005 levels and by 20/20. 80% of those levels by 2050. Waxman points to the EPA's finding that cap and trade is going to cost 140 dollars a year per household. Which he's promoting is the cost of postage stamp every day. Unfortunately the numbers don't add up according to The Heritage Foundation after adjusting for -- and the government would collect five point seven trillion dollars in tax revenue between 32 and 2035. They found that by 2035. The Waxman Markey cap and trade legislation would all so. Raise electricity rates 90%. After adjusting for inflation. Racing just that deflation are racing inflation adjusted gasoline prices by 58%. Res residential natural gas prices by 55%. And raise an annual. A -- average a family's annual energy bill by 1200. And 41 dollars. And that's just the cost to consumers nevermind affected businesses faced with high energy costs are going to raise the cost of everything that you -- There is still time. Tomorrow the vote goes to the house and the farm state Democrats are weak in the knees because they know they're going to actually answer to people with common sense and overalls. Call -- The numbers on your screen right there called the switchboard. There needs to. I mean that there needs to be some common sense. In the house and then it's going to be picked up and go to the Senate if it passes tomorrow. David -- he is a senior policy analyst in energy economics in climate change of The Heritage Foundation and Peter Schiff is the president of then chief global strategist at Euro Pacific Capital. I -- David let me let me start with -- here. What. Is this what is this besides a giant. Tax bill that will destroy the economy."

the economic analysis in this clip is really misguided. it is assumed here that petrol prices will increase and everything else in the economy will stay the way it is. that is not the case, as demand for electricity rises, price will go down in the long term.. of course by portraying the economics of the situation this way, it really does make any legislation look bad, but it is not by any means a realistic representation..
