  • Wow... Blast from the past ... well not quite. I grew up listening to Dr. Don in the 70's. Very cool seeing him and hearing him again. Thank you. Rest in peace Dr. Don.

  • @Bluesjanet If you like vintage Top 40 airchecks, google reelradio. There are lots of airchecks there.

  • What a brilliant talent Dr. Don was. We SO need someone like him on the air now, full of life and laughter. This recording was made during the heyday of my memories of listening to him, and it's so fun to see how it all went down! What a wonderful time in SF radio.

I was able to meet him in HongKong in Dec 85, while he also was visiting there. I tried to find him donuts but alas HK didn't have any! He was a very, very sweet and joyful man, bless 'im! And Miss Him!!!

  • Dr. Don rocked. God Bless Him, RIP.

  • Love this stuff! Anybody got airchecks from the late 1960's? (My golden years)

  • I remember DR in Duluth Minnesota when he was doing afternoons at WEBC AM 560 in the early 1960's! He was a hoot then!

  • Loved Dr. don Rose! Miss him alot!

  • His accent is such a North Platte accent. He sounds like everyone else in that small town! It takes me back to Nebraska.

  • It's so great to hear Dr. Don again after all these years. He got me off to a great start every morning when I was a kid listening to WFIL in Philly. There hasn't been anyone like him since.

  • @badnguy915 God bless you. He is loved by many people who have great memories of him.

  • @badnguy915 I did 30 years in radio. Your granddad was a legend and a true gentleman. One of the best that ever lived and that is your heritage. All the best in all you do.
