Suzuki is wrong on one point: nobody MAKES an issue political. ALL issues are INHERENTLY political. Whether to make murder or rape legal or illegal. Or marijuana. Or the right to free speech including violent or hateful speech legal or illegal. That is all politics is: whether to make an act legal or illegal, and if illegal, then how much FORCE to apply.
